CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT FORM FOR CONTRACT ASSESSORS OF INTERNATIONAL ACCREDITATION SERVICE, INC.
For purposes of this agreement, the term “contract assessor” shall include Lead Assessors, Assessors, Technical experts, and IAS Representatives.
Agreement to abide by International Accreditation Service, Inc., rules and procedures, to protect confidential or proprietary information, and to avoid conflict of interest.
The International Accreditation Service, Inc. (IAS), contract assessor agrees to the following:
- In work performed for IAS, the contract assessor shall abide by all relevant IAS rules, procedures, and accreditation criteria.
- The contract assessor shall safeguard, consistent with applicable laws, all information, whether or not in writing, of a private, secret, confidential, and/or proprietary nature, relating to IAS applications for accreditation. The contract assessor, both during and after service to IAS,
will not disclose to unauthorized persons any confidential or proprietary information that has been disclosed or entrusted to IAS by applicants for IAS accreditation, or use such information, unless or until the information has become public knowledge without fault of the contract assessor. - The contract assessor shall not accept work on any IAS assessment where he or she knowingly has a commercial, financial, or other material interest in the entity that is being assessed.
- The contract assessor shall not accept work on any IAS assessment where a prior association with the entity being assessed would tend to create a conflict of interest or the appearance of a conflict of interest.
